Quick and easy carrot, apple, ginger juice

My mom used to make this juice for me all the time when I was a little kid. I might not have known it then or for most of my 20’s when I was treating my body like garbage but I am certain she instilled in me the holistic approach to healing your body with plants and a positive outlook on life.

Ok so lets get right to it: Any juicer will work for this and I literally dusted off an old Hugin Juicer I found in one of my mom’s cupboards when I made this recipe while visiting her in Denmark this last summer.

Carrot, Apple, Ginger Juice Recipe

(Yields for 2 people)

3x small green apples (if you want sweeter juice use red apples - I used green because that is what we had laying around) 9x small peeled carrots 2 inches unpeeled ginger root (this is such a personal preference as to the amount of ginger because I love love love everything spicy - ask my baby daddy - I literally put spice on everything! Secret Ingredient - 1-2 drops of oil I recommend using olive, flax or coconut oil. The little bit of fat helps absorb nutrients better (JUICY TIP - same with any vitamins you might take, take them with a fat such as for example a nut butter!)

Process

Rinse produce thoroughly. Juice apples, carrots and ginger then add the oil to the juice and stir it all together. Pour into a glass and enjoy or pour over ice and make it fancy with a glass straw :)
